Bolla Kali Mela
North Bengal's grandest fair — lakhs of devotees gather for darshan and offerings.

A Sacred Shakti Peetha of Devotion & Protection

For centuries, the village of Bolla in Dakshin Dinajpur has resonated with the timeless chant of Maa Raksha Kali — the divine protectress of countless devotees.
Nestled in the heart of rural West Bengal, the Sree Sree Bolla Raksha Kali Temple stands as one of Bengal's most beloved spiritual landmarks. The presiding deity, lovingly known as Bolla Maa, is said to grant protection from misfortune and fulfil the heartfelt prayers of all who arrive at her sanctum.
Every autumn, on the Friday after Rash Purnima, the temple becomes the centre of the legendary Bolla Kali Mela — one of the largest fairs in North Bengal, drawing lakhs of devotees who offer goat, pigeon and sweet offerings in fulfilment of vows.
The rhythm of the sanctum — from the first lamp at dawn to the last bell at night.
Dawn invocation as the sanctum awakens with conch and bell.

When the temple becomes a constellation of lamps and the night belongs to the Mother.
